How it Began:

The idea for a concert to aid the Preble Street Resource Center began in Fall 08, when one of the organizers heard a radio report that 21 homeless people had died in Portland that year.

Details galore would follow, but the core of the story is simple. A question was asked: “If we put
together a benefit, would you help us?” The response was immediate and sure: “Yes. Let’s make this happen.”

The moral of the story is this: lives will change if people ask questions and don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.
